Precalculus

Course Notes

I've developed some notes while teaching precalculus over several summers, and began developing this workbook during the Summer 2023 session. These notes are far from polished or complete. If you have comments, feel free to send me an email. I expect there to be some inaccuracies, awkward wordings, etc.
Exercises to come.
I have several goals in mind for this workbook. Some (or most...) of these are yet to be realized. The goal is to:
  • Provide precalculus course material in a clear and concise manner. The language should be conversational and not intimidating, especially to students, while still maintaining some level of rigor. That is, upon reading and working through the notes, a motivated student should
    • be comfortable and confident in communicating with maths terms,
    • understand how to read maths (at the level of precalculus through calculus),
    • and have developed some self studying skills.
  • Provide students with a free, in-house developed resource. It's 2023; students should not have to shell out large amounts of money for precalculus.
  • Provide enlightening examples for each topic. That is, examples which highlight main ideas and thought-provoking edge cases.
